After graduating from Georgia State University with a B.S. in Criminal Justice, Officer Lindsay McCall Long started her law enforcement career with Georgia’s Gwinnett CountyPolice Department. She initially moved to Arizona to policeatParadise Valley and is currently a Tempe officer.
As a member of Tempe’s Critical Incident Stress Management team, Officer Long provides peer support to co-workers. As secretary of the Doeg Nelson Chapter of Arizona NOBLE, Officer Long has the opportunity to collaborate with officers valley-wide.
During her 15 year law enforcement career she has worked patrol, undercover, a robbery task force and in investigations. But, personally helping people on the ground ultimately fuels Officer Long’s love of patrol.
Being a wife and mother of two was integral in Officer Long’s journey to become a postpartum doula and breastfeeding advocate for working mothers. One of her proudest achievements is the implementation of a department-wide breastfeeding policy.
