Briles Johnson

Briles Johnson is an independent consultant based in Raleigh serving small and medium sized businesses, government and nonprofit organizations around the state. She offers strategic management solutions founded by her expertise in marketing, contracting, certification, diversity, networking and business development. Briles’ experience includes 13 years of small business and economic development in public, private and nonprofit settings, including her time with the Women’s Business Center of North Carolina and the NC Department of Commerce.She and her team have assisted businesses to create and retain over 1,000 jobs, raise over $13 million in capital and secure more than $27 million in government and private contracts. Briles served as the Executive Director of the Women’s Business Center for seven years, and under her leadership, the program was named the 2014 National ͞Women’s Business Center of Excellence͟ by the US Small Business Administration. Briles is a graduate of Meredith College in Raleigh and the University of Nebrija in Madrid, Spain. She is a Certified Global Business Professional and member of several boards including the national Association of Women’s Business Centers, Family Forward Advisory Committee and Central Piedmont Community College’s Small Business Advisory Committee. She and her husband Barry have two sons, David and Turner, and their sweet rescue dog, Sammie Sue.
