Lauren Bolshakov is an abstract artist inspired by movement, nature, dance, and connections. Her art uses soft colors, strong lines, balance, and plays with different mediums and surfaces to create soft compositions with lots
of movement. Her current process is to work in water media, charcoal, and pastels, but she is always exploring new
surfaces and mediums to give her work new dimension. Negative space and striking a balance between hard
and soft edges is integral to her compositions. She believes that art can give life to your space and showcase your
personality and style in a way that nothing else can! She lives in Charlotte with her puppy and her husband, and when she’s not painting in her cottage studio, you can find her in New York visiting her daughter at NYU, running, or on the dance floor.
