Dr. Michelle Kim moved to Arizona in 2006 to join Valley Anesthesiology Consultants, Envision Physician Services. At the time, Michelle was one of two Female Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiologists in Phoenix. Working primarily at Phoenix Children’s Hospital, Michelle participated in the startup of Pediatric Critical Care Fellowship, Pediatric Liver Transplant program, and Pediatric Resident rotations in Anesthesia. As Graduate Medical Education Director, she organized and grew her program to become the primary and premiere anesthesia group, educating medical students from University of Arizona, Phoenix Campus, Creighton University, and Midwestern University. She serves as a mentor to medical students interested in Anesthesia and lectures at University of Arizona, School of Medicine, Phoenix Campus.Her program is involved with a variety of residencies at Banner University Medical Center, Phoenix, Phoenix Children’s Hospital, and Mayo Clinic Scottsdale, Anesthesiology. Phoenix is headed toward creation of multiple new University based residencies, which will equate to growth and retention of future doctors to meet the growing needs of our population. Dr. Michelle Kim is an entrepreneur of medical education, she is passionate about creating quality education for the growing needs of this city.
