As the Content Writer – Intern, you will assist in bringing awareness to local female-run businesses to help keep the KNOW Women’s mission moving forward and share viral worthy news to keep them engaged.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Develop and execute content strategies to support KNOW’s storytelling objectives.
• Write and edit compelling, informative and trending content for our INSIDER platform, social media, and other digital platforms.
• Research and stay informed of industry trends and best practices.
• Utilize SEO best practices to increase visibility and engagement.
• Ensure all content is accurate, consistent, and adheres to brand guidelines.
• Monitor and report on content performance and engagement metrics.
• Collaborate with Membership & Editor to ensure content is aligned with overall objectives.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Desired Characteristics:

• Poised, with experience working with high-level business owners.
• Strong verbal and written skills.
• Strong working knowledge of technology, including Word, Excel and Google Drive.
• Working knowledge of SLACK and Canva.
• Self-driven, resilient, and coachable.
• Excellent time management and communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Self-starter that appreciates schedule flexibility and a level of independence.

Experience Requirements:

• An ability to develop content that is both engaging and informative.
• Experience using Instagram, LinkedIn and other social media outlets.
• A degree (or working towards a degree) in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field is highly desirable. 
• Blogging or previous experience writing for a magazine is a bonus.  

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to support the growth & impact of businesswomen both locally and globally through visibility and connections.  It is flexible, but deadline driven. This is a paid internship, with the opportunity to continue employment.
