“A well-read woman is a dangerous creature” – Lisa Kleypas

There are so many books on the market to help you build your business. It’s hard to know which one is the right one for you. We asked a few of our KNOW Global Members to share their FAVORITE book that helped them level up.

1. JEN WICKLUND’S PICK:
Everybody Matters by Bob Chapman

“It has framed my approach as an HR professional in Corporate America. Recommended by a previous Fortune 500 CEO and gifted to me by a VP, we created an entire people first culture around the premise of this book. What this book highlights is that if you treat people like family, valuing their insights and presence, they will take care of your business.”

2. STEPHANIE REIL’S PICK:
The E Myth Revisited by Michael E. Gerber

“There was a second in the book that said, “if you have a business you can’t take a break from then you don’t have a business, you have a job.” That really stuck with me as I’ve been building my business. Working to incorporate support where I can so it’s able to survive and thrive as I grow!”

3. SUSAN CREWS’ PICK:
How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie

I am a talker and this book helped me understand the importance of how to be a good listener and make conversations about the other person.

4. MELISSA HERRIOTT’S PICK:
Think and Grow Rich by Napolean Hill

The most powerful takeaway for me was that you can achieve anything you conceive and believe. Hill’s premise is that your thoughts, whether positive or negative, become your reality. You must control your thoughts if you want to control your destiny. If your dominant thoughts are about riches (which can mean wealth, happiness, success in business, successful relationships etc.) you can become rich.”

5. SHANIKA RUFFIN’S PICK:
Year of Yes by Shonda Rimes

I am an introvert. Last year I decided not to let the no and being overlooked in my field stop me. I started going for more things and saying yes to more thing I wouldn’t do due to fear and be being uncomfortable in an environment.”
