Amplify Her Voice: Jasmine Jackson

KNOW Book + Tribe kicked off a brand new series called Amplify Her Voice. It is a storytelling series focused on amplifying the voices of our Black female business leaders and members. Each day we will be featuring one new KNOW member and they will be sharing their stories and advice.

Meet Jasmine Jackson, Founder of Jasmin Ronelle

Jasmine Jackson is a family oriented, art lover, and creative from Raleigh, North Carolina. Through her active lifestyle playing softball and her passion for fashion, she  created Jasmin Ronelle. Jasmine took her love for fashion and created beautiful swimsuits and active wear. In 2018, she joined KNOW Raleigh because she wanted to network, find a mentor, and get more experience within the community.

Takeaways from Jasmine:

  1. “As women we already have to go through barriers and jump hurdles to be equal to our male counterparts, but to be an African American woman in business it’s a little bit harder. You still have to prove yourself to others that are looking at you [and] tell them I am smart enough. I can do this.”
  2. During the pandemic, Jasmine has taken her creative skills to a new level. She is now experiencing with home décor and has created beautiful vases and pillows. This time has allowed her to process and challenge herself as a designer.

What Jasmine would tell the next generation:

-“Find likeminded people. Find people that have the same goal as you, that can help you, that can mentor you”

-“Know your strength, and even when you think you might give up or you’re tired, it’s okay to take a break, but just don’t stop. “
