Following a nomination and interview process, these women entrepreneurs, executives, creatives, and philanthropists have not only grown their dreams, but have created boundless opportunities for the next generation of female leaders. These women exemplify what it means to be high-achieving and ambitious on the next level and continue to pour into their communities as they do so.

Dr. Mautra Staley Jones | Oklahoma City Community College

Dr. Jones is one of the nation’s most sought out thought leaders. As the 11th President of Oklahoma City Community College she made Oklahoma history as the first African American female to lead any institution of higher education in the state that is not an HBCU. She was named Oklahoma’s Remarkable Woman by KFOR/Nexstar Media, 2021 National Mother of the Year by American Mothers, Inc., inducted into the Oklahoma African American Educators Hall of Fame, and named Woman of the Year by several publications. She is married to United States District Judge Bernard M. Jones II and they have three children.

What advice would you give your younger self?
“For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

What is your favorite quote?

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.”
